The Bees Knees Quartett

We are The Bees‘ Knees, a German-American barbershop quartet in Berlin. We enjoy singing at various private and public occasions and also compete in barbershop contests.

Why „The Bees‘ Knees“?

„The bees‘ knees“ is an old-fashioned expression for something like „cool“.
Example: „This cocktail is amazing!“ „Oh yeah, it’s the bees‘ knees!“

What is Barbershop?

Barbershop is four-part close harmony singing:

The four parts are tenor, lead, baritone, and bass. As Deke Sharon puts it: It’s the martial arts of a cappella singing.
